The City of Bayard Police Department includes the offices of Police Chief and three police officers. All officers are appointed by the Mayor, and report to the Police Chief, Mayor, and City Council. 

The Police Department is responsible for all public safety operations within the city, including the enforcement of applicable federal, state, county, and local ordinances and laws.
