Community Redevelopment Authority
The community Redevelopment Authority (CRA) for the City of Bayard was established by the City of Bayard City Council on May 14, 2002. The CRA consists of a five (5) member board appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The CRA is charged with taking action in specified areas of the community to remove, prevent or inhibit blighted and substandard conditions that will result in lower property values. Once areas of blight have been specified the CRA has the authority to take actions to encourage redevelopment in those areas.
